February 23 @ Noon - 4pm Chill-A-Bration is an anticipated winter celebration in downtown Cortland, NY, giving local restaurants and retailers a chance to show off. Running Noon to 4:00pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019, businesses feature either a a chili recipe or a winter menu item to compete for the title of “Cortland Area's Best Chili" and "Favorite Winter Flavor". Chill-A-Bration goers are encouraged to cast a ballot for their favorite samples by 4:30pm. There's good incentive to vote, not only to support your favorite restaurants, but a ballot will be drawn to receive $50 in downtown Cortland gift certificates. Be sure to catch the Polar Pie eating contest at 2:00pm at the VFW for a chance to win a replica Viking helmet, and the 4:00pm Elk Calling contest at Finger Lakes Tasting and Tap Room! $15 ticket includes 20 tasting tickets, 3 adult beverage sample tickets, map, tasting guide, collectible soup spoon, and ballot. A children's packet is not offered, but ticket packets can be split and shared. Even those with the heartiest of appetites have trouble consuming more than 10 samples. For the consideration of all festival goers, please limit samples to one ticket per location. ONLINE sales are available now at HDC.YAPSODY.COM and will end February 22 at Noon. IN-PERSON CASH/CHECK SALES begin Saturday February 16 at Bru 64, 64 Main Street, Cortland.
