If not, never fear—award winning author and folklorist Dr. Michael E. Bell will be on hand to present “The Vampire’s Grasp in New England” at Heritage Hall in Cincinnatus on September 6. His program will explore what is known about the more than 70 documented cases, including his search for more information on a case in Cayuga County. Learn how desperation and superstition combined to push people to do that which is taboo: to disturb the dead in an attempt to cure the living.
