Historic Downtown Cortland

Chill-A-Bration has become an anticipated mid-winter attraction downtown. It brings in well over 1,000 people to the Main Street area, giving restaurants and retailers a chance to show off their range of items. Running Noon to 4:00pm on Saturday in February over 20 businesses will feature either a winter menu item to sample, or will prepare a special chili entry to compete for the title of “Cortland Area’s Best Chili” and “Favorite Winter Flavor”. Chill-A-Bration goers are encouraged to cast a ballot for their favorite samples by 4:30pm. There’s good incentive to vote, not only to support your favorite restaurants, but also, two ballots will be drawn for prizes.

Homer Winterfest

New York Master Ski Racing

1/13 Toggenburg Mountain

1/14 Song Mountain

Masters ski racing is the fun adult ski racing series in the United States. We are governed by United States Ski Association (USSA), the sanctioning body in the U.S. for organized ski racing at all levels from juniors up through international and Olympic competition.

Racers of all levels are welcomed – from true beginners who enjoy exciting race courses, to former college racers and Olympians, and everyone in between. Racers range in age from 18 to over 90 years old, competing in five-year age groups (25-29, 30-34, 35-40, etc.).

New York Masters races are held at ski areas across New York with
most races held as 2 race (4 runs) in one day to free up your weekend
and keep expenses down, leaving plenty of time for training, free skiing
and an awards party. We socialize on and off the slopes. There is a National Championship event with Downhill, Super G, Giant Slalom
and Slalom.

Spartan Race

Greek Peak Winter Sprint

March 10, 2018

Tackle the classic obstacles you’ve come to love (and fear), all while enduring the added challenges of a cold-hearted winter on central New York’s largest ski resort. You’ll never look at snow the same way again.

Top Reasons to Take on This Course

1. The Waterfalls Spa provides the perfect opportunity to balance a grueling race with rest and rejuvenation. Treat your muscles to a well-earned luxury massage, and then refuel like royalty with a hearty meal at Acorn Grill or Trax Pub & Grill.

2. You saw the surprise flurries at Tahoe, but at Greek Peak the snow is part of the master plan. (That’s all we can say, though. You’ll know at the finish line.)

3. If one outdoor adventure is not enough for you, you can quench your insatiable spirit at Greek Peak’s thrilling outdoor adventure center, complete with duel zip lines and the Nor’Easter alpine mountain coaster. Parents can keep their younger kids (age 3-6) active and busy at the Cub Club Playland with tubing, and a Kiddie Climbing Wall.
